Although lack of accurate data remains a huge challenge, all authoritative estimates agree that Nigeria has the largest number of out-of-school children in the world. United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) had declared in 2013 that one in every five of out-of-school children in the world is in Nigeria and put the figure at 10.5million.
