Abstract

Transformational leadership style is mostly adopted to enhance the motivation, morale, and job
performance of followers or subordinate through a variety of mechanisms. These include connecting the
subordinate sense of identity and self to a project of collective identity, This paper investigates the
effect of transformational leadership style on subordinate in Nigeria public organization. The paper
adopted secondary source of data collection using journal, articles and related books to acquire relevant
information's for the study. The findings reveals that transformational leadership has significant
impact on subordinate relation in Nigeria public institution. However, the activities of leaders often
connected to their subordinate. Consequently, this paper wishes to recommend that the modern
organizations being it public or private should focus and encourage transformational leadership style to
ease and enhance positive change in our society. However, organization that embark on
transformational leadership encourage coordination and effective service delivery through their
subordinate.
