PROFESSIONAL ETHOS AND SERVICE DELIVERY IN NIGERIAN HEALTHCARE INDUSTRY

Abstract

This study examines ethical professionalism in the Nigerian healthcare industry as it affects the performances of health/business in the country. The study is cross-sectional in nature and it utilizes purposive sampling technique and questionnaires administered to Abuja Accredited HMOS to Sample the opinion of the target respondents, staff and customers from the ages of 20 and above, with exception of infants and minors to measure performance of HMOS In Nigeria. The finding reveals that ethical issues play a significant role in the performance of HMOs in the Nigerian health sector. The study recommends that management should pay attention to abuse of trust and limpidity which are variables adopted in this study and other significant variables not mentioned in the work to determining optimal ethical professionalism in order to have a better outcome in performance.
