Abstract

This study investigates the transformative impact of e-governance and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) on administrative personnel and students at Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University Lapai. Utilizing qualitative methods, including key informant interviews and content analysis, the research reveals unanimous recognition of e-governance's potential to create a student-friendly environment, foster critical thinking, and facilitate global collaboration. ICT empowers students for self-directed learning, reduces exam malpractices, and contributes to their overall development. Government initiatives underline a commitment to enhancing education quality, while challenges such as limited internet access prompt pragmatic recommendations for effective implementation. This study provides valuable insights into the transformative role of e-governance in education.
