Abstract

The study was conducted to incorporate vegetative propagation into computer
assisted instructional package using three phases of ADDIE model of instructional
design. The paper adopted a developmental research and descriptive research
designs. Relevant vegetative propagation content areas and top nine Programming
Language were adapted for the study. The population of the study was all the 66
lecturers of the agricultural education in the north eastern Nigeria University. No
sampling technique was used for the study. Two instruments for data collection were
used for this study which are, instrument for need analysis and the instrument for rating
general scripting language. Instrument for need analysis and rating general scripting
language for computer animation development were validated by three experts.
Inter rater reliability at Single Measures of .721 and average measures of .844 was
obtained. After incorporation of vegetative propagation, computer assisted
instructional package was validated by four experts. The data was collected and
analyzed. The results revealed that vegetative propagation was considered relevant
content areas to be incorporated into the computer assisted instructional package,
suitable videos for incorporation into the computer assisted instructional package
were identified and used, PHP (Hypertext preprocessor) is the current general-
purpose scripting language for computer assisted instructional package. It was
recommended that all states and federal ministry of education should provide
supporting atmosphere and services for vegetative propagation computer assisted
instructional package.
