LEADERSHIP AND STAKEHOLDERS' EXPECTATION OF PRIVATE INSTITUTIONS: A CASE STUDY OF AL-QALAM UNIVERSITY KATSINA

Abstract

In today's globalized world of full stakeholders, leadership faces more complexity and
dynamism that made it to become more challenging. This paper examines and suggests
the best way of managing various stakeholders' interest in an organization, using Al-
Qalam University Katsina as a case study. The paper is conceptual in nature, hence it uses
secondary data to examine and analyze ways to managing various stakeholders interest
in private organization. The paper reveals that organizational leaders are responsible
for harnessing all the stakeholders' interest in a way that the organizational as well as
stakeholders' individual expectation will be met and that the organization leadership's
success depends on the ability of the organization and its leadership to commit
responsibly to its stakeholders' expectation. The study recommends that, since
organization stakeholders have shared value and common interest, they are to be served
first before individual stakeholder's interest.
