IMPACT OF THE IMPLEMENTATION OF HOUSING BENEFIT ON STAFF PUNCTUALITY AT THE CODE OF CONDUCT BUREAU, ABUJA

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of the implementation of housing benefits on staff punctuality at the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) in Abuja. The research explores employees' perceptions of the housing benefits program and its influence on their overall commuting experiences, motivation, job satisfaction, and commitment to fulfilling duties in a timely manner. Survey research design was adopted, with a total strength of 301 staff and 172 sample size, Implementation theory was proposed by Eugene Bardach,, was adopted as the framework. Data collected through a structured survey reveals a mixed response, with a significant portion of employees expressing positive views, while notable dissenting opinions and undecided responses are observed. The findings revealed that majority of respondents attested housing benefit have significantly improved employee housing need and punctuality in the Code of Conduct Bureau, Abuja. The study recommends enhancing communication strategies, implementing targeted surveys, and conducting focus groups to address concerns and optimize the program's effectiveness. These recommendations aim to foster a positive and supportive work environment, ultimately improving staff punctuality and overall employee satisfaction at the Code of Conduct Bureau.
