Abstract

This study investigated the role of ICT in University of Nigeria Nsukka. The study generated 3 objectives which were turned to research question. The theories used are the connectivism and the global village theory for this study, the entire population was
33,644 and a sample size of 380 respondents was selected with the help of the Australian Calculator. The Accidental sampling technique was use to elicit data for the study. The questionnaire was used as the instrument for data collection, and frequency
and basic percentages were used for data analysis. Within the framework of the study. The study reveal that there is a good knowledge of ICT in UNN. The finding also revealed that ICT plays an important role in the daily activities of staff/student. Base on this study the researcher concluded that this study has revealed a major challenge in the use of ICT in UNN. Some recommendations were made which includes; There should be wider and stronger network coverage in the entire UNN community and Practical courses on ICT should be made mandatory for student at all level.
