Over the years, security challenges are global phenomena that have bedeviled socioeconomic development of the people. It is a phenomenon that has zero consideration for age, race, religion; ethnicity, or nationality. It is on this premise that this study assessed newspaper coverage of banditry in Niger State: A comparative content analysis of The Guardian and Daily Trust Newspapers. The print media should give prominence to the reportage of cases of banditry and kidnapping and should organise debates on the issue as well as enlighten the public about the incidents. The print media should set agenda on the issue of banditry and kidnapping in a manner that would engage the audience participation in the tackling or proffering solutions to banditry in our society.
